Carte/Card

SSS- C’est ta journée ! / It’s your day !

Bonjour !

Hello !

I don’t know for you, but recently the spring colours inspire me and make me want to make lots of cards! For once it’s not blue, let’s enjoy it! 😄 Besides, there are plenty of birthdays to come and I take the opportunity to get ahead, we always need birthday cards on hand, right?

The current different challenges also helped me a lot ! I used :

First I used the die to emboss the lower part of the card and then I stamped and embossed the sentiment while following the curve above. I then stamped the image (with different masks) with Versamark ink and I heat embossed with clear powder. With small foam applicators I blended the different Distress inks to give a gradient of colours on the 2 ranunculus and the large stem of leaves. For the smaller flowers and leaves I made the gradient with colour pencils not to overflow.

And Voilà ! I love the airiness of this card that smells good spring! I ended up loving more and more doing OLC, before, for me, they were synonymous of haunting !

  5. What a beautiful card Izzy! I have this stamp set and wouldn’t have thought to arrange it at all in this way – it is so pretty the way it follows the curve of the embossed die. The softness of the flowers is just perfect, really it’s stunning! The colours you have chosen are perfect for spring and for the flower. I never use foam applicators, I worry that I am too heavy handed for them, but you have applied the ink perfectly where you have used them. You are always so inspiring, I love to see your cards, thank you so much! Have a wonderful Easter, hugs, Lisa xx
