Youpi ! Super nouvelle ! / Whoop ! Exiting News !

Bonjour !

J’espère que vous allez bien ! Aujourd’hui est un grand jour pour moi, j’ai eu l’immense honneur, il y a quelques semaines, de recevoir un email de Sarah Platt m’invitant à rejoindre l’équipe de Less is More !

OH MON DIEU ! OH MON DIEU ! YOUPI !

Hello !

I hope you are all doing well ! Today is a great day for me, I had the immense honour, few weeks ago, of receiving an email from Sarah Platt inviting me to join the Less is More team !

OH MY GOD ! OH MY GOD ! WHOOP !

I had to read and read again the email countless times to be sure I was not dreaming. I even asked my son (who was worried about hearing me shouting!) to pinch me ! All this to say that I floated the rest of the day over the clouds and I waited to come back to life and stop shaking to answer with a big YES ! It’s a dream which came true !

CONGRATULATIONS to Trina and Nonni who join the Less is More DT too !

With a little apprehension, I’m thrilled to present you today my first post as a Less is More DT for this new challenge #327.

And for the month of May, our sponsor is none other than UNIKO and we have the great pleasure of welcoming Bev as our Guest Designer. And today it’s also the day of her new release so go on the site HERE to see what’s new !

For the occasion, I have three cards to share with you today.

 1/ Happy birthday

This card is for my new fellow teamie Anita who celebrates her birthday tomorrow ! So I invite you to visit her blog to wish her a very happy birthday !

On a stitched die cut white cardstock, I stamped the image in grey. As it is a layer stamp, I stamped the second layer using the technique called “second generation stamping” which consists in inking the stamp and in stamping the first time on a paper before stamping a second time (without re-inking) on your card. Like this the ribs of the leaves are a little bit softer ! Then I made very fine splashes with the 2 colours which enables to remain very neutral and to keep a CAS style. I die cut the word “happy” and I stamped & embossed in white the word “birthday” on a grey cardstock. I adhered this image on a double card and to finish I glued some pearls painted in yellow with nail polish !

Stamp: UNIKO “Beautiful bloom III”, Penny Black “Wishes” – Inks: Memento Luxe “Gray flannel & Dandelion” – Dies: STAMPlorations “Happy”, SSS “Stitched rectangle”

Update: Happy and honoured to have been showcased in the Uniko Saturday show !

 2/  Joyeux anniversaire

Parce qu’on a toujours besoin de cartes d’anniversaire ! Because we always need birthday cards !

I directly stamped over the double card the flowers in yellow and the outlines, lightly offset, in grey as well as the centre of the flowers. I die cut the sentiment, once in white and another time in yellow. I used the inlaid die cutting technique which consist in placing back the die cuts into their location. Here I replaced the white letters by yellow letters. Then I foam mounted the sentiment and I adhered it to the double card. Some sequins to finish the card and to add the point over the “j”.

Stamp: UNIKO “Uniko style” – Die: Memory Box “Grand joyeux anniversaire” – Inks: Memento Luxe “Gray flannel & Dandelion”

Seize the birthday : Anything goes

3/ Thanks du fond du coeur (from the bottom of my heart)

MERCI !

I dedicate this card especially to the whole team of Less is More to thank them again for welcoming me so warmly! You are all wonderful Ladies and you inspired me (and you continue!) a lot since the creation of my blog and my entry in blogland. THANK YOU !

The grey heart and the yellow sentiment are die cuts. The flowers and the leaves are stamped, heat embossed and fussy cut. The grey sentiment is stamped and heat embossed directly on the double card. The splashes are done before the final mounting. To embellish I added 3 clear droplets.

Stamp: UNIKO “Fun flowers”, Artemio “textes manuscrits” – Dies: MFT “Thanks”, K-Kingdom “Hearts” – Inks: Memento Luxe “Gray flannel & Dandelion”, Versamark – Embossing powders: clear and Hero Arts “White” – Embellishment: Pretty Pink Posh “4mm clear droplets”

J’adore celle que tu as présentée au challenge LIM.
    Encore une fois bravo !
    Mille bises.

  11. These are all beautiful cards, Izzy! I love how you used yellow for your sentiments. It never occrred to me to do that…probably because I thought it wouldn’t stand out. But you proved that wrong. It looks great against the grey.
And I love reading your reaction to your DT invite. Congratulations! Our next journey has officially begun! 😉

  12. So happy that you said yes Izzy as you are such a wonderful addition to the team. No doubt you will wow us each week with your really stylish makes! And this week is no exception…every single card oozes class and elegance. It is fantastic to see all the techniques too from the sensational splatters on the first, to the incredible stamping and die cuts on the other two. (Ha! I am with Esther on the ‘fried egg’ flowers – I had a plant in my garden in the UK and I miss it now that I’ve moved). So kind of you to dedicate the thank you card to the whole team too. I hope your week turns out as sunny as your cards xx

  13. Welcome to the team, Izzy! You are a wonderful designer as can be seen from these fabulous cards. I love the card you made for me, it has arrived in the mail but I am being good and waiting until tomorrow to see it for real! I love these colours and I love flowers so it’s a winner for me 🙂 I love the fun flowers and the inlaid die on your second card, so striking. And all the elements on your final card are so perfectly placed, is lovely xx

  14. Welcome to the team, Izzy! We’re thrilled to have you join us! Your cards are SO fab and all of them, while being different to each other, show your usual brilliant eye for design and layout. The soft splatters and bright scripty sentiment on the first card are so eye catching and really give a feel of energy which looks great! I LOVE the die you’ve used on the second card, so distinctive, and the flowers look just like what I used to call “fried egg” flowers as a kid… no idea if they are, but I love that look <3 And your thank you card is a stunner with the elegant heart shape and stylish flowers. Love it! Have a great weekend Izzy! x
