Less is More Week #328 – OLC Spots/Stripes

Bonjour !

Hello !

First of all, I wanted to thank you so much for all the welcoming and encouraging messages left on my blog and on Less is More, following the announcement, last week, of my integration into the team. I really appreciate all the attention you’re giving me.

I’m back then for a new challenge at Less is More and here is what we have for you this week ! Oh, I forgot, this is the week of the One Layer Card, your favourite week I’m sure! 😉

This week I have again 3  proposals (using sponsor images).

 1/ Heureux anniversaire

On a double white card, I stamped the different elements of the Uniko set “Background builders : round in circles” with Ombré inks from Hero Arts. Then I stamped the sentiment with the same ink. To add a bit of dimension to the card and to let appear other kinds of stripes, I randomly scored lines, vertically and horizontally.

Stamp: UNIKO “Background builders: round in circles”, Simply Graphic “Planche anniversaire” – Inks: Hero Arts “Ombré Dolphin” “Ombré Mermaid”

2/  Make a wish

On a double white card and thanks to the Misti, I stamped the striped and spotted candles with Emboss pens et then I heat embossed with clear powder. After that I stamped the black stripe on which the bold sentiment lays and I also heat embossed it. I repeated the process for the sentiment. The 2 balloons are stamped with Memento Luxe inks. On the blue one I stamped the other part of the sentiment and on the orange one, I made some pink spots. Then I stamped again the 2 balloons with Versamark ink and I heat embossed with clear powder. To finish, I stamped the 2 strings as well as the knots with Versafine ink and I heat embossed them.

Stamp: UNIKO “Big & bold wish” ” Balloon bash”- Inks: Memento Luxe “Bahama blue” “Morocco”, Versafine “Onyx Black”, Versamark – Pens :  Tsukineko Emboss Dual Pen”#1,#5,#10,#12,#32,#35,#36,#38″

3/  Wish big !

For this card, I get inspired by the Sketch of the challenge #222 at CAS Colours & Sketches. On a double card, I stamped the Half tone background with a multicolour ink, then I stamped the stripes with the last colour of this multicolour ink pad. I dried with the heat gun before stamping the sentiments with the black Versafine ink. In order to add a little bit of dimension to the card, but keeping it a OLC, I embossed the two dotted lines with a die above and under the image.

Stamp: UNIKO “Big & bold wish” ” background blocks halftone”, SSS “basic stripes”- Inks: Tsukineko Splendor3 “Vivid”, Versafine “Onyx Black” – Dies :  MFT “basic stitch lines”

  1. A terrific trio, Isabelle … each one is cool, funky and graphic … yet they’re all so different! I’m especially taken with the last one and those rainbow dots … sigh … gorgeous! Bises, Anita 🙂

  2. I love how you have the balloons holding up the sentiment on your card for Addicted to Stamps and More, Izzy. And putting part of the sentiment in one balloon was a brilliant idea. The colorful candles bring a celebratory feel to your card and I’m glad you shared it with us in the gallery.

  3. Sorry I’m so late visiting. What great creations with your Uniko supplies! The first with the mix of circles and ombre ink looks fabulous, and what a fantastic effect with your score lines! Your second is a party on a card, what a feel good design. And the colours on your third card…oh my, LOVE how bold and colourful it is. Great job x

  4. Wow, you are on a roll! Three outstanding designs! The first one looks modern and graphic, the second one is so fun with the colorful candles, and the last one is my favorite: rainbow colors, great use of the pattern, and the sentiment works perfectly!

  5. They are all so lovely, gorgeous colours and I love the embossing on the first one.
Thank you for sharing with us at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge x

  6. Three stunning cards, Izzy, very eye-catching! I love how you added the texture with scoring on your first card, and the half tone stamped background in the rainbow colours is fabulous!

  7. Wow! What a gorgeous trio of bright, eye catching and stylish cards! I love the embossed background on the first card, such a fab touch that sets off the circles perfectly. The candles on the second card are awesome, but it’s your final card with that incredibly dotty background stamping that’s stolen the show for me… so fantastic and one for my wishlist! Have a great rest-of-the-weekend 🙂 x

  8. Great trio of spots and stripes cards, Izzy! Great idea with the embossed lines. And I absolutely LOVE your last rainbow colour card. That sketch was a tough one for me, but you nailed it. Just perfect.

  9. Hello Izzy! First of all, late but heartfelt congratulations on your Design Team spot at Less Is More. Fantastic and well deserved!!! Your cards are fantastic. I love the geometric designs of 1 and 3 and the bright colors of 3 are fabulous. I also love the candles and balloons on your very happy birthday card. All good things to you Izzy! Thanks for the inspiration!

  10. Wow Izzy, what can I say… Mind-blowing cards! I especially love the geometric feel in your first and third card and the colors of the third card… Mind-blowing! I find the sketch you used super hard but your card is so inspirational it’s given me some ideas, maybe I do play along in this challenge after all, thanks Izzy!

  11. Izzy you’ve done wonders with your Uniko stash. I intended to use the BG builders circles when I saw the challenge but then saw your card and thought … Hmmm! Best not but you’ve shown what other sets I’d forgotten about and worked magic with them. A post of stunning vibrant colours, bold sentiments and wonderful combinations of spots and stripe. Great work and have a great week too. x

  12. Three fab cards from you Izzy! Those candles on your middle card look so much like the ones I used to put on my daughters’ birthday cakes and the bright colours are perfect for them. Ha! I’m waiting for them to burn though the strings on the balloons 😉 The first card has a gorgeous geometric look to it and uses very pretty colours. But I have to say that your last card is spectacular! The rainbow ink looks amazing and the way you separated the two areas with the spots and stripes and added different words to each section is brilliant! Well, I hope you have a fabulous week this week xx
