Uniko – Ardyth ‘s Muse Party

Bonjour !

Hello !

I hope you enjoy your weekend ! As you certainly seen it, at Muse they are celebrating Ardyth‘s birthday, everybody knows her of course since she honores us every week with her wonderful CAS cards ! If you don’t know her, I urge you to visit her blog Maskerade and you will remain speechless ! Well, it’s what always happens to me when I see her cards “Oh yes, of course, it is so simple and so gorgeous, why I did not think about it !”. So, Happy (belated !) Birthday Ardyth and thanks so much for all the superb cards that inspire us day after day !

So since Monday, I was looking on her blog what card I could interpret for this challenge # 218 … and when I saw the card below, I immediately thought of the stamps set of Uniko that would go perfectly well to reproduce it!

Voici la carte d’Ardyth / Here is Ardyth‘s card :

Voici la mienne / Here is mine :

You will notice that I have no merit, I have done more than interpret it, I copied it! I even copied the technique she used to shade the balloon (significantly less successful on mine!). I just changed the sentiment, well let’s say I just translated it in French! I now understand better the pleasure and satisfaction of the forger! 😉

I stamped the balloon twice, once with a Lime green ink and another time (according to Ardyth and Jennifer‘s technique) with a slightly more green ink (apparently not enough in my case). Then I stamped the white reflection of the light, the strand and the knot to finish with the sentiment ! I adhered this image on a brown background paper before gluing it on a double white card. And Voilà ! As I said above, all the credit of this card belongs to Ardyth !

  1. Well I love your card Izzy, whether it is a copy or not. It’s very pretty, so CAS and beautifully executed as always – and that deserves credit. I do know how you feel about copying a card, I always feel that I don’t deserve credit, but I think as long as you refer to the orignal it is fine. It is very flattering to be copied also and I try to remember that it will make the person happy that I love their card enough to make one similar 😀. This card would also be good for a masculine card ( I am forever trying to think of cards for men!!). Hugs, Lisa x

  2. Simply fabulous and beautifully showcasing the Uniko sets Izzy. Love your shadow to the balloon and a great take on our masculine challenge at Uniko this month. Thanks for playing with us. x

  3. Brilliant CASE, Isabelle … the subtle shading on the balloon and the chink of light shining on it is fabulous … love that fresh green against all the glorious white space! Have a wonderful week! Bises, Anita 🙂

  5. Superbe CASE of Ardyth’s card! Love that you made it into a french version! Unfortunately I did not manage to CASE one of her awesome cards even though I love her style! I am preparing for a trip to Germany and my head is spinning with all the things to do and think about!

  6. I think your subtle shading is more realistic than mine was – and the card looks fantastic! Thanks so much for the birthday wishes and for joining my party at Muse!

    Bises.
