K-Kingdom – Une pensée ensoleillée / A sunny thought

Bonjour ou plutôt bonsoir !

Un rapide post avant que le challenge #399 de Just Us Girls ne se termine ! Voici la photo d’inspiration…

Hello or rather good evening !

A quick post before the closing of the challenge #399 along at Just Us Girls ! Here is the photo of inspiration…

When I saw all these colours, it really made me want to play but I also wanted to participate to honor my friend Estelle of Scrap of Me who is the creative guest at Just Us Girls for the month of June! I am sure that you already know Estelle and her wonderful creations, and if it is not yet the case I strongly encourage you to go and discover them on her site! If you like CAS, original and delicate cards, you will love it!

Voici ma carte / Here is my card :

For me also the summer holidays mean the bright colors, the sea, the beach and all that goes with it! So I opted for a shaker card with a pretty mermaid!

I die cut (x2) the blue frame with a die cut that has a shell shape. Then I cut an acetate card and I adhered it to the back of the blue shell die cut.

Since I did not want the background of my shaker card to be blank, I decided to emboss it. For this I cut the center of my double card with the shape of the shell and I then embossed this central part.

I placed the embossed cut in the center of the card and I fixed it by gluing inside the card one of the blue shell frames. Then on top of the card I put the sequins and I pasted the second shell cut out with the acetate card with foam adhesive so that the sequins can move.

On a white cardstock, I stamped and heat embossed the mermaid. Then I coloured it with markers Fabrico and Promarker and I finally fussy cut it and mounted it with glue dots and foam.

To finish I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in black. And Voilà ! Except the die cut of the central part, this card is easy and quick to do.
