Wish upon a star shaker card

Bonjour !

Hello !

I hope you enjoyed your weekend ! Today I’m back with another card full of stars but this time it is to play along at CAS-ual Fridays challenge where we have to CASE one of the DT member. This allowed me to discover wonderful blogs and especially splendid cards. I chose to CASE this wonderful card by Channin (CFC178).

Voici ma carte./ Here is my card.

As you can see, I get inspired by the design and the colours. In a white cardstock, I die cut the windows with the Stars Fri-Dies by CAS-ual Fridays. On the double card, I traced the stars with a pencil in order to colour the background with Distress inks.

On my panel with the windows, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with silver powder. Then I adhered a piece of acetate to the backside. On the double card I adhered adhesive foam tape all around each traced star and on the edges of the card. I put some anti-static powder on the inside part of the foam in order that the sequins do not stick on it.

I filled each star with sequins of the colour of each background, except the small one where I put silver glitter. Then I adhered the panel with the star windows onto the double card.

To finish I stamped small stars that I coloured in the same shades than the background of the stars and I adhered them onto the acetate.

And voilà ! I like the result and I think I will use this design to make end-of-year cards.

  1. I have to say I think I would CASE both yours and Channin’s cards – they are delightful. I love the bright colours, layout and of course all the sparkle with the lovely sequins. And a good idea to use glitter in the smaller star. I saw Jennifer using glitter in a shaker recently and I shall be doing this too (we have to use our glitters up don’t we)! I probably wouldn’t have thought to use the little star for the centre, but it’s such a great finishing touch. Whilst I am here, thank you for all your lovely comments on my blog and YT channel, you have no idea how much they make me smile and they are so very appreciated. Hugs, Lisa xx
