Uniko Challenge #43

Bonjour !

Hello !

Today a new challenge starts at Uniko and the theme is totally seasonal, I am sure you will satisfy us with your superb creations!

Our guest designer for this challenge is Vijaylaxmi, she won the last challenge #42. I invite you to visit her blog and leave her a warm comment.

I do not know about you but autumn makes me want to cocoon in a warm place ! So I chose to use the “I LOVE tea” stamp set, my favorite drink to warm me up! I love this stamp so versatile (as you can see with THIS card and THAT one !)

I started by stamping the cup and I heat embossed it with gold powder. Then I used the stamp “Scattered polka dots” from the last release to make the dots. I put on my working mat different Distress inks and I sprayed some water on it, then I put my stamp on it before stamping on the cup.

For the background of my card, I used the technique of the tissue paper (see HERE for details). I die cut a square in the center of my double card and I replaced it with the one of tissue paper. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment over. To finish I foam mounted the cup.

And Voilà ! There is even more inspiration on the Uniko’s blog where the other members of the team and our creative guest Vijaylaxmi have made wonderful cards to share with you. So go and take a look HERE and we look forward to seeing your creations!

  1. Wow! Gorgeous colours Izzy! I just love that background panel (still need to try this technique) – it really is so beautiful. It makes me want to wrap up and go out and kick leaves around! But a cup of tea by the fire is an even nicer thought! Beautiful card, as always! Lisa x

  2. WOW! Sizzling, fiery and magnificent autumn themed card Izzy. Love how you’ve used the little tea-cup and what a striking background including all those wonderful golden tones. Just perfect!

Bon weekend! Bises, Anita 🙂

  4. Well, this is autumn on a card, Izzy!! I love the rich colours and texture of your tissue paper background and the idea of using the polka dot stamp on the tea cup is inspired 🙂

  5. Your tissue paper background, with its texture and blend of autumn colours, is stunning; a perfect canvas for your oh-so-pretty teacup and inviting sentiment! As for your teacup: I’d love a set of those in my cupboard! Fall makes me want to cozy up inside too…and I often do, especially when the winds are blowing and the rain is falling. Once again, a visit here leaves me inspired and smiling!
    Hugs~carol
