Less is More Week #357 – Colours Red & Green

Bonjour !

Hello !

First Saturday of the month at Less is More means a Colours challenge, and I’m sure you’ll love this one (especially in this period!) ….

This also means we have a new sponsor for December and this is Happy Little Stampers (HLS). Moreover we have the immense honor and the pleasure to welcome the talented Kylie from HLS (among others!) as our Guest Designer this week.

Here is what I have for you this week.

1/ Bright & Merry

I know, there is a slight inversion of words, it is more natural to say “Merry & Bright”, but everything was cut and glued when I realized it! Let’s say that it’s my French Touch!

On a white cardstock, I stamped the different green firs with an Altenew ink and then I over stamped the different patterns (stripes) with Versamark ink and I heat embossed with white powder. For the red fir, I only stamped and I heat embossed the outlines of the fir in white and then I filled it with red Stickles.

On a double white card, I stamped and I heat embossed the sentiment. I fussy cut the firs and I glued some of them flat on the card and I foam mounted some others.

Stamp: Neat and Tangled “Scandinavian Prints Christmas”, Uniko “Festive sentiments” – Inks: Altenew “Volcano Lake” – Embellishment: Hero Arts “white” EP, Stickles “Xmas red”.

2/ Meilleurs voeux sous le gui / Best wishes under the mistletoe

I couldn’t resist for this beautiful branch from the set “Grateful” from MFT and I decorated it with little pearls to make the mistletoe berries. A little red organza ribbon, a frame and a Best Wishes sentiment stamped and heat embossed with silver powder and you have a very simple card for the end of year’s celebrations.

Stamp: MFT “Grateful”, Simply Graphic “planche bonheur et prospérité” – Inks: Brilliance “Pearlescent Thyme” – Die: SSS “Stitched rectangles” – Embellishment: pearls and ribbon.

Muse: Christmas visions #90 : Festive free for all

For this card, I get inspired by the wonderful cards that the talented Ksenija from Sweet Kobylkin recently presented on her blog. I urge you to visit her, she gives you not only a lot of inspiration but also a lot of tips for this or that technique !

On a white cardstock, I stamped a lot of small images in green and red and I simply die cut the numbers into it. I die cut two other sets of numbers in a white cardstock and I glued them under the patterned numbers to give them more dimension.

On a double white card I stamped the sentiment then I glued the numbers.

Since I had room to cut out other patterned numbers, I made two other cards in the same spirit.

Stamp: Uniko “Background builders: vines winter”, Simply Graphic “planche bonheur et prospérité”, Florilège “Bonne Santé” – Inks: Brilliance “Pearlescent Thyme”, Altenew “Ruby red” – Die: SSS “Stitched rectangles”, “Stitched squares”, Rayher “59235000” (numbers).

You’ve been busy! 🙂 Those 2018-cards look fantastic -I’m familiar with the post Ksenija did about large letter/number dies (I’ve even saved it to my bookmarks) and I love the way you were inspired. Fantastic stamping and great CAS layouts in all of these! Your first card has a fun look -great idea to use a minty shade of green. This stamp set is on my wish list… Maybe for next year! That cute little bow in your second card is the perfect CAS accessory. Thanks for all the inspiration and have a fun weekend!
