1/ Thanks so much – Merci beaucoup

I dedicate this first card to all of you. Indeed I thank you all very much for your comments so warm and always very encouraging! It is thanks to you and to your wonderful creativity that I am here ! Thanks also to my wonderful teamies who trusted in me, I’m so blessed to be part of such a fabulous team !

For this card I used two stamps from the latest release from Uniko. I stamped the background with Versamark and I white heat embossed.

I then used the technique Emboss Resist by sponging over Distress ink and making a purple gradient.

I sponged the same ink on the edges of a double white card and I adhered the pattern over. I die cut the word “thanks” and I foam mounted it. Then I added the end of the sentiment previously stamped and white heat embossed.

Stamp: Uniko “’Large background Scattered Polka hearts” and “So Much” (December freebie) – Inks: Distress “Wilted violet” – Die: MFT “Thanks”.

Time Out #100: Thankful

2/ Happy Birthday

For this card I’ve been inspired essentially by two challenges CAS Mix Up Card and CAS Watercolour Card using the technique of the first one and the theme of the second one.

After watching the videos proposed in the challenge of CAS Mix Up Card, I tried out this new technique (for me!) called Cling Wrap to make my background.

I used Distress ink, Brushos and I sprayed with water mixed with Perfect Pearls powder to give a shimmery effect. I let it dry with the Plasic Wrap.

On a white cardstock I stamped the flower, I white heat embossed it and I die cut it with the matching die. I softly sponged Distress ink in the middle of the flower and over the edge of the petals.

I also die cut some wild grass and a frame.

I stamped and I heat embossed the sentiment at the bottom of the frame. I adhered the purple background on the back of the frame and I foam mounted it over a white double card.

To finish I adhered the wild grass and the flower over the background and the frame.

Happy and honoured to be one of the Watercooler Rockers !

Stamp: Uniko “’Pure florals : Gerbera” and “Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum” (sentiment) – Inks: Distress “Wilted violet & Shaded Lilac” – Die: Uniko “Pure florals : Gerbera”, Simply Graphic “Herbes”- Pigments : Brushos “Purple & Violet”.

  1. Apologies for being late again, Izzy! Two awesome cards. Love the ombre blending and those cute scattered hearts, such a lovely design. And your cling background looks fabulous, so vibrant, and what a great idea to pair it with that gorgeous delicate gerbera in white. Such lovely words in your post too xx

  2. 2 fabulous cards! You just rock making cards in different styles… It’s amazing! All the cute hearts in your first card really bring a smile on my face but the all the techniques in the second card… Wow! Great job! The long wrap bg turned out very interesting and beautiful and the soft, delicate flower really pops from it. Sorry for visiting so late this time… I hope you are having a fun week! xxx

  4. Happy New Year to you Izzy! I wish you lots of good things this year – happiness most of all, and then of course, health, wealth and crafty days! I am sorry to have not been over here in a little while, it all goes a bit crazy over Christmas doesn’t it and there are not so many days and hours to drool over people’s blog posts!

I have to say I love the purple colour for this year. And I love your two cards! I saw Jennifer McGuire do the plastic wrap technique but have yet to try it – looks so interesting and yours came out really really well. You were brave to try it with Brusho! And your first card with the ombre blending and beautiful sentiment is timeless. Thank you for sharing and inspiring as always. Sending hugs, Lisa xx

  5. What gorgeous cards! I am always a huge purple fan and these cards are absolutely stunning! I love all the technique that went in to these! Fabulous! Thanks so much for joining us this week at Watercooler Wednesday!

  6. I’m loving both cards Izzy, but the one with the flower and cling wrap background is really beautiful. I love the colour mix and the embossed and sponged flower is perfect. Very surreal. Thanks for playing along with us at the Watercooler Wednesday Feminine Challenge this week.

  7. Oh Isabelle, what a wonderfully vibrant background you’ve created! That cling wrap technique left some great lines and texture in the colours. A perfect background for the lovely white die-cuts. The sponged colours in the flower really show off the details of your heat embossing. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

  8. I always forget to check the box below, so I end up commenting twice. Hopefully they don’t both show up! 🙂

Your cling wrap background on the second card is AMAZING!! Such gorgeous colours and great design from the cling wrap. Love it paired with your beautiful flower. By sponging the center and tips, the white part of the flower looks translucent. Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up and CAS Watercoldour! xx
