The challenge starts today, Friday 16th March and will end Friday 20th April, midnight GMT. So you have 5 weeks to enter and to play with us ! The winners will be announced Friday 4th May.

Voici ma carte…/ Here is my card…

To illustrate this new theme, I not only chose to take off from my stash an old stamp from Uniko Some Bunny as the main image but also stamps from different sets of the range Background Builders.

In a white cardstock I die cut an oval. I stamped different patterns, curving them and I white heat embossed them. Then I coloured the “egg” with Distress Oxide inks and I adhered it to the white card base.

On another white cardstock, I stamped the bunny then I coloured it with coloured pencils. I fussy cut it and I foam mounted it on the card. I stamped and I black heat embossed the sentiment that comes from the same set Some Bunny.

Little by little I discover the new Distress Oxide inks and they are so great and easy to handle that I decided to make another card. Looking at the latest Balloon Bash stencil from Uniko, I realized that by turning over the biggest balloon and hiding the tip, it gave an egg shape! A very good opportunity to use Distress Oxide inks again.

Not very complicated in itself, you only need patience and some masks firstly to blend the ink through the stencil and then to make the patterns with different stamps.

The blue and yellow eggs are decorated with the stamp Background Blocks Halftone, the green egg with the stamp Large Background : Scattered Polka Hearts, the orange egg with the stamp Background Blocks Scattered Polka Dots and finally the pink egg with one of the small stamps of the set Kindness Blooms from the latest release.

I dried the eggs with the heat gun before stamping and black heat embossing the sentiment. The word “Happy” comes from the set Festive Sentiments and the word “Easter” from the set Some Bunny.
