STAMPlorations 5th birthday – CASEing Deepti

Bonjour !

Hello !

This card has been inspired by many nice challenges in progress like STAMPlorations especially and the new CAS Mix-up Challenge and Penny Black & More among others ! I say especially STAMPlorations because I copied the sublime Deepti Malik’s card !

Deepti’s card

Isn’t it wonderful this card? In any case, me it caught my eye with this beautiful blue bird on this black flower arrangement, I love it ! Here is my interpretation and what better than using a set of stamps designed by Deepti !

On a double white card, I adhered a piece of pattern paper on the bottom part. I stamped with Memento ink the floral arrangement on a white card stock slightly less hight than the double card. Then I stamped one of the foliage on other piece of white card stock and I fussy cut it.

On two watercolour papers, I used Brushos pigments for one and Distress ink for the other, making the Smooshing technique. Once dry, I die cut them with the dragonfly layered dies.

I glued the two dragonfly elements together and I adhered the dragonfly onto the floral arrangement. I stamped the sentiment then I adhered the image onto the double white card.

To finish I adhered the foliage with small pieces of adhesive foam so that it comes to cover slightly the wing of the dragonfly. Some sequins to add some touches of blue and Voilà !

I love the result and I had a lot of fun doing this card !

  3. Oh my! I am at loss of words, this is absolutely lovely and I love how you arranged the stamps and added dimension with the leaf. I like the use of dragonfly too. Thank you so much for CASEing me and playing along with STAMPlorations 5th Birthday celebrations

  4. Gorgeous dragonfly so carefully placed in your black and white floral arrangement. I love your added piece of designer paper. I need to do that more often. I have so much paper that I rarely use anymore. Your CASE of Deepti beautiful card is just as pretty. TFS Izzy. Hugs….

  5. A very striking colour palette, many thanks for joining in with our ‘In my Garden’ theme at Stamping Sensations and ‘Wings’ theme at Penny Black and More challenges.

  6. Such a classy and stylish card. The black and white stamping on the background looks great and then the pop of blue with the die cut dragonfly looks fabulous. The layering of the die cut foliage finishes off your card perfectly. Great CASE on Deepti’s beautiful card. Thank you for joining in the CAS Mix Up Challenge Izzy with your stunning card x
