CAS on Friday #137 GD – Christmas in July

Bonjour !

Hello !

Recently I have been the lucky winner of the challenge Tic-Tac-Toe over at CAS on Friday with THIS card. And today, I have the honour to be their Guest Designer for the new challenge whose theme is :  Christmas in July !

Voici ma carte / Here is my card.

Update :

Happy and honoured to be at the first place at AAA Cards Challenge #119

To make this card I simply thought of the two words of the theme: Christmas and July. For the first word Christmas, it was the perfect opportunity to use this NBUS beautiful die Noel. For the second word, July, I thought of my favorite colours in summer Blue and White (although the blue remains my color all year long !).

On watercolour paper I sprinkled Blue Brushos pigments and I sprayed water. Once dry, I die cut the word Noel.

In a rectangle of white card stock, I marked the edges with a cross border die and I die cut the word Noel in the center. Then I replaced the white cutting by the blue Brusho cutting. I foam mounted the image over a double white card.

In another piece of white cardstock I die cut the poinsettia parts and I assembled the 3 layers together. I adhered the flower onto the word and to finish I glued in the center some micro silver beads.

And Voilà ! I’m very happy with the result and I hope that this card will inspire you to come and play. Thank you for taking the time to pop in and a big thank you to the CAS on Friday team for having me as their Guest Designer !

  4. This is absolutely gorgeous, Izzy! I love that wonderful blue “noel” sitting on and in all that white! Love the poinsettia on the “o”. Wonderful CAS design. It’s a joy to have you playing with us at Happy Little Stampers July Christmas Challenge!

  5. I may have to CASE this! Beautiful card Izzy, I always love it when you get your brusho out. It’s the perfect inlay for this pretty die (which I happen to have – yay!). And the poinsettia die is a really pretty one, what I like it is the size of it as it fits so well as the “o”!! Blue, white and a touch of silver is a classic combination for Christmas and one of my favourites. Thank you as always for sharing and inspiring, and congrats on your GD for this fun challenge, Lisa xx

  6. Oh wow! I love this card! The tiny white poinsettia is just perfect to use in place of the ‘o’ and the shades of blue on the other letters just make it pop even more. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards.

  7. Many congratulations on guesting x. Your Christmas card is CAS perfection. It is so pretty and loving the blue and white. The large Noel sentiment looks great with the mini white poinsettia. One special card….CAS perfection x
