September 2018 Uniko Design Team Blog Hop

Re-bonjour !

Hello again !

Today begins a new Design Team Blog Hop & Giveaway at Uniko ! For those of you who do not know yet, I explain. Beverley from Uniko, is not only the designer of all these wonderful products as well as the owner but also the mother of two 4 years old adorable twins. She manages everything : product design, orders, packaging, shipments, customer service and everything else ! So the non-release months, she chooses “old” products that deserve to be back in the spotlight.

Here are the products she chose for September.

Voici mes cartes / Here are my cards.

1/ Large background : Scattered polka hearts & Simply Said Blocks and Simply Said Blocks II

I stamped the polka hearts with different colours and I rotated my card. I die cut the ampersand in a pink card stock and I stuck it in the center. The sentiments are stamped and foam mounted on top of the ampersand.

Stamps:  Uniko “Large background : scattered polka hearts”, “Simply Said Blocks” & “Simply Said Blocks II” (sentiments) – Inks : Catherine Pooler “Fiesta blue, Party dress, Lime rickey, Tiki torch” – Die : Frantic Stamper “Punctuation set”.

2/ Large background : Scattered polka dots & Simply Said Blocks II

Recently I made a card (see HERE) with this combo of colours and I loved it so much that I used the same combo for this card.

On a white card stock, I blended Distress inks in a circular way, I dried them with the heat gun and I stamped the polka dots with white ink on top of them. Then I die cut them in different sizes.

In order to highlight them even more, I dry embossed the double card with circle dies and I adhered the coloured circles inside.

The sentiment is black stamped on a white strip of paper then I foam mounted it on top of the card.

Stamps:  Uniko “Large background : scattered polka dots” & “Simply Said Blocks II” (sentiment) – Inks : Distress “Cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, wilted violet” – Die : Spellbinders  “Standard circles large”.

3/ Scattered Polka dots stencil & Simply Said Blocks

Recently I bought the “Large Circle burst die” from MB, and I thought it would match perfectly with the Uniko Polka dots stencil. So I used both to make a shaker card.

First I die cut the center of a white square, then I placed the stencil on top of it and I randomly coloured the dots with three colours.

I cut another square in a pink card stock and I adhered it underneath after having scooped out the center.

I also scooped out the center of a double white card and I adhered a yellow card stock inside.

I put some sequins  in a plastic pouch and I foam mounted it between the square with the coloured dots and the double white card.

To finish I stamped the sentiment with black ink over a white strip of paper and I adhered it on the card.

Stamps:  “Simply Said Blocks” (sentiment) – Inks : Distress “Picked raspberry, Squeezed lemonade, Twisted citron” – Die : Memory Box “Large circle burst” – Embellishements : Little Things from Lucy’s cards ” a mix of sequins”
Challenge :

  1. Terrific trio of cards. Love the blues in the second – just like an outer space scene. And the shaker card has such pretty colours and the the die cut window is just perfect.

  2. All three are lovely Izzy, I really adore the shaker card and of course the top one with all it’s rainbow colours is always going to win my heart! I like this feature, it’s great to revisit the earlier sets and show them some love. Thank you as always for sharing and inspiring… I always want to rush to my craft room after reading one of your posts! Lisa xx
