Less is More #387 – Sketch #25

Bonjour !

Comme le temps passe vite ! Me revoilà avec un nouveau défi pour Less is More.

Hello !

How time is flying ! I’m back with a new challenge at Less is More. For this new fortnight it is a sketch and I cannot wait to see how you will interpret it.

Notre sponsor est Skull and Cross Buns.

We are pleased to welcome Toni from Frankie Loves Craft, our November 2018 winner. Do go and visit her blog and leave her a lovely comment. Our sponsor is Skull and Cross Buns.

Voici mes cartes / Here are my cards

1/ Celebrate

I get inspired for this card simply because I had a die cut “Celebrate” that was still loitering on my desk after making THIS card.

And as I had just made a card with a Bokeh background, I decided to do another using this sketch.

I masked the double white card with adhesive painter tape then I sponged black, silver and gold inks to make the pattern. I used a stencil to make the white dots with white ink.

The word Celebrate has been die cut in matte golden paper. Not brilliant enough for my taste for the first card mentioned above but ideal for this one.

To finish, I stamped the rest of the sentiment with Brilliance ink on the double white card and I adhered the die cut Celebrate.

Stamp :Uniko “Festive sentiments” – Inks : Distress “Black Soot”, Delicata “Silvery shimmer” & “Golden Glitz”, Brilliance “Lightning black” (sentiment) & “Moonlight white” – Stencil : Kaisercraft “Bubbly” – Die : Echo Park “Birthday party word die set”.

2/ Happy Birthday

This second card is more colourful ! This time it’s a birthday card (we never have enough in stock !).

I masked the double white card with adhesive painter tape then I sponged inks through a stencil over and I played with different colours.

On a stripe of white paper, I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment and thanks to the “Emboss resist” technique I sponged the same inks on top.

To finish I glued the sentiment on the double card and I added Wink of Stella on top. You may see it better on the second picture.

Stamp :Uniko “Simply Said” – Inks : Distress “Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feather, Abandoned Coral” – Stencil : Uniko “Party confetti”.

3/ Love

For this last card, I changed the technique by using an embossed background and by cutting the top of the card to reproduce the sketch.

I made a red background with Brushos, and once dry I die cut the word Love.

I adhered the embossed background on the double white card, then I foam mounted the two white panels and to finish I glued the sentiment flat on top.

Embossing Folder : Spellbinders “EL-012” – Die : SSS “Love” – Brushos : “Rose red”.

Moving along with the times #89 – Have a heart

And Voilà ! Even if at the beginning I did not see what I was going to do with this sketch, once I made the first card, the ideas immediately came for the other two. I hope that you will come to play with us and don’t forget, there is even more inspiration on the main blog HERE with my teamies’ cards.
