Voici mes cartes…/ Here are my cards…

1/ Birthday Wishes

Update : I’m thrilled and honoured to be one of the rockers over at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges , to be one of the honourable mentions at Creative with Stamps and to be one of the favourite at Happy Little Stampers for the CAS challenge.

I wanted to use the no line colouring technique for this card. So I first stamped the big magnolia bud with a very soft pink ink, then I chose the markers I wanted to use when I suddenly remembered that it had to be a One Layer Card. So no way to use the markers because the ink bleeds through the paper. So I tried with colored pencils …

I made the same thing for the other buds and petals then I drew the branch that connects the three buds. I finished the card by stamping the sentiment.

Stamp: Altenew “Magnolias for her”, Uniko “Pure florals: Chrysantemum” (sentiment) – Inks: Altenew “Frosty Pink & Rubellite” – Color Pencils : Faber-Castell Polychromos “#132, 119, 135, 268, 187, 176, 168, 170”.

2/ A little note

For this second card, one more time I used the colour pencils (for the same reason) but I kept the stamp outlines in black, which enabled me to draw 2 black lines to delimit the location of the sentiment and to give a bit of dimension.

I stamped the different flower buds and petals using the Misti and I colored them as I go. Having kept the stamps at their location in the Misti, I stamped again above, so that the black lines stand out well.

Stamp: Clearly besotted “Scribled flowers” – Color Pencils : Faber-Castell Polychromos “#147, 152, 110, 106, 108, 111, 118”.

3/ You are amazing

This last card is very quick to do. I used the leaves of the set to make the border on the edge.

Then I scored a line with the scoring board and I finished the card by stamping the flower and the sentiment.

Stamp: Uniko “Yes, You” – Ink : Catherine Pooler “Grass skirt, Party dress, It’s a girl”.

  1. Izzy, your Magnolia flower is amazing! You did a great colouring!
The other cards are also beautiful and with grat CAS style, but against the magnolia they have “co chance”! 😉

    Heartfelt greetings from Wiebke

  2. Izzy, these are all fabulous. I absolutely loved your magnolia card when I first saw it, your colouring is fantastic. The note card is just the cutest, love that simple design and that set is perfect for such a simple card. And your last one, just lovely with the black and white accents in the border and that gorgeous little bud. Great work as always x

  3. Such gorgeous cards as always, Izzy. Your artistry is remarkable. I am particularly in love with the magnolia. There was a huge pink magnolia tree in the front yard of the home in which I grew up, and images of those gorgeous flowers always sing me of sweet things.

  4. How you manage to turn out 3 incredibly beautiful cards each week amazes me Izzy! This trio is incredible. I have been swooning over your first card since the first time I saw it – that Altenew image is gorgeous and the way you coloured it is dazzling. Bravo! Love the contemporary look of your second card and using the leaves for the border on the third one was inspired. A wonderful treat for the eyes xx

  5. Oh my goodness, Izzy … that magnolia is stunning … you’ve captured the soft blossoms so beautifully with your brilliant colouring … love how the petals are drifting gently down the card! The crisp, fresh CASness of your second two designs is wonderful … little pops of colour against all that glorious white … scrumptious! Bises et hugs, Anita 🙂

  6. Wonderful CAS designs, Izzy! I think the pink magnolia with the dropping petals is my favorite (that’s exactly what mine have been doing, thanks to the rain here). Thank you for joining us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!

  7. All 3 cards are beautiful Izzy! However, your Birthday Wishes card features one of my favourite Altnew stamps and is just stunning! Your no-line colouring is perfect to showcase these gorgeous flowers! I just love it ! Thanks so much for sharing and joining us at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week!

  8. Wow, what a gorgeous card. It’s beautifully CAS and your colouring is just perfect. Thank you for joining us in our ‘April Showers Bring May Flowers’ challenge at Stamping Sensations and good luck. Sandra x
