Less is More #404 – Typography

Bonjour !

Hello !

I can not believe it’s already mid-September! The children have been back to school for 15 days, and the crazy rhythm has started again ! It’s also a new challenge that begins at Less is More: Typography. I can not wait to see your cards !

Who says new month, also says new sponsor. Our VERY generous sponsor for September is Visible image !

Voici mes cartes / Here are my cards

1/ Create your own calm (using sponsor stamp)

I do not have many stamps from our sponsor but among those I have, I particularly like this typography mixed with these “bubbles”. Even if the letters are big, being surrounded by bubbles makes them lighter.

I die cut a square in a white cardstock, then I used an inked paper towel left over (used for THIS card) to make a kind of smooshing background by transferring a bit of ink on the white paper once the paper towel humidified.

Then I used a stencil and Distress inks to make the seashell on top. I made some splatters with ink and water. Once dry I stamped the sentiment.

I adhered this image on the double white card then I added some white bubbles previously die cut.

Stamps:  Visible Image “Create your calm” – Stencil: Funky Fossil Designs “Four shells”– Dies: 4 en Scrap “Bulles (été 2018)”, CREAlies “area nest dies XXL double stitch & dots”  – Inks : Distress “Salty ocean, Peacock feathers”.

2/ Have a wild birthday

Update : Happy and Honoured to be the winner over at AAA Birthday challenge.

For this second card, I used a stamp and a stencil from the July release at Uniko.

I die cut a white square then I blended Distress inks to make an orange/yellow ombré. Then with a stencil, I brushed brown Distress inks to make the pelage of the beast.

On a white cardstock, I stamped the sentiment WILD then I made a yellow/orange gradient on top. I raised up the stencil and I placed the sentiment on the stencilled square cardstock. I put the stencil back in place and I brushed brown Distress ink insisting so that it shows better on the background.

I fussy cut each letter and I foam mounted them to their exact place on the card. Then I stamped in black the rest of the sentiment.

To finish I adhered this image on a double kraft card.

Stamps:  Uniko “Sentiments outlined”, “Beautiful” & “Pure florals-Peony” – Stencil: Uniko “Tiger print”– Die: CREAlies “area nest dies XXL double stitch & dots” Inks : Distress “Squeezed lemonade, Mustard seed, Spiced Marmalade, Vintage photo”.
