Funky farewell to Sarah from Uniko

Bonjour !

Hello !

It’s a sad day over at Uniko today as we are saying “Farewell” to one of our fellow teamies. Sarah Gray from Funky Fossil Designs has decided to step down from the team. But the good news, it’s to give everything in her new business with her beautiful stencils and lately with pretty clear stamps. You can find her wonderful products HERE.

So, part of the Uniko’s Brand Ambassadors have joined Bev (Uniko’s owner and creator) to say farewell by creating a card that combines Uniko and Funky Fossil Designs products.

Voici ma carte / Here is my card

Update : Happy and Honoured to be one of the Outstanding Designs over at CAS Stencil challenge.

To make this card, I get inspired by several current challenges : CAS Stencil for the technique, Simon Says Monday and Southern Girl for the blue shades.

I die cut a square in a white card stock and I aleatory sponged three shades of blue Distress inks.

Then with the Funky Fossil Designs stencil I used the technique called “Baby Wipes” described in the CAS Stencil challenge. It’s about removing ink with a baby wipe wiped gently across the stencil.

And the magic happens on its own, the stencil pattern appears on the support progressively.

Once dry, I adhered the stencilled panel on the double white card then I used the small stamps of the set Big & Bold – Happy from Uniko to highlight the center of the circle burst, using the same inks.

Then I die cut (x3) the sentiment and I glued them on the stencilled panel.

To finish I stamped the rest of the sentiment on the double white card.
