Carte/Card

Newton’s Nook & Uniko – Tropical Christmas

Bonjour,

Hello,

A quick post before the closing of the Color Throwdown challenge ! Again a very pretty combo of colours that is proposed to us and which is for me, particularly timely.

Indeed, we have friends who go and spend Christmas far in the sun, so I want to send them a card with non-traditional colors but especially pink for my main image, so this combo is perfect !

I first thought about this card. I created the decor of the ornament with a set from Uniko that I stamped and heat embossed with silver powder. Then with the watercolour Zig pencils and a brush, I put it in color.

I die cut the ribbon and I also heat embossed it with silver powder. I stamped the flamingos on a scrap of paper and I also used the Zig pencils and a brush to colour them, finally I fussy cut them.

I dry embossed a frame on a double white card and I glued the ornament and the ribbon. I foam mounted the flamingos.

To finish I stamped the sentiment and I heat embossed it with silver powder. I coloured the small ornament with a silver pencil and I put some Stickles on their hood.

Update : Happy and Honoured to be the Rock Star over at  Watercooler Wednesday challenge.

As I had a left over of this beautiful tropical background, I decided to make a second card (I even think about a third one…). I first die cut a square. Then I stamped and I heat embossed part of the sentiment with silver powder.

In the left over of the background, I die cut the word Noël. Then I glued it on the square previously die cut. I foam mounted this square on a double white card. Again I stamped and I coloured the flamingos the same way than for the first card. Then I foam mounted them on the card.

And voilà ! I love this combo of color, I think it gives an even more joyful touch to these holidays ! Thank you again for being here and thank you for your comments that touch me a lot. See you soon…
