Less is More #414 – Big & Small

Bonjour !

Nous voici déjà fin Février et chez Less is More nous terminons le mois avec ce nouveau défi…

Hello !

Here we are already end of February and at Less is More we close the month with this new challenge…

We would love to see on your cards something big and something small (for example an elephant and a mouse, a large sentiment and a tiny image, a big flower and a small flower, a large square, a small square… ), of course your card has still to be CAS !

We also say goodbye to Uniko who has been our sponsor throughout the month of February. I invite you to go and discover their last release which I’m sure will delight you.

Voici mes cartes…/Here are my cards…

1/ Let is snow (using sponsor stamp & die)

I simply stamped the small snowflake in two shades of very soft blue, I die cut the big snowflake then I brushed it with Wink of Stella before adhering it on the double card with Glue Dots. To finish I stamped the sentiment with silver ink.

Stamp: Uniko “Stunning snowflakes” – Dies: Uniko “Sparkling snowflake”  – Ink: Altenew “Sea glass & Sea breeze”, Tsukineko “Delicata Silvery shimmer”.

2/ Happy birthday (using sponsor stencil, stamp & die)

For this second card, I used a stencil with small squares that I coloured on a bigger square of paper and foam mounted it on a big squared card. For the colours I get inspired by those of the CAS on Friday challenge.

For the sentiment, I cut the first word with a big die and I stamped the second part with a small stamp.

Stencil: Uniko “Mid Century Modern II” – Die: Uniko “Big & Bold – Happy”, CREAlies “Crea nest lies XXL double stitch & dots – Stamp: Uniko “Simply said” – Ink: Altenew “Fresh lemon & Parrot”, Catherine Pooler “Mint to be & All that jazz”.

  1. Two very effective cards! I love the look of that die cut snowflake in your first card, I think I’ll have to have a look at it at Uniko store… It’s perfect for a simple yet effective CAS design! Love the fun retro vibes of the colorful squares in your second card. xx

  2. Wonderful cards, love the graphic design using the stencil with the large and small sentiment, so effective! thankyou for playing along at Seize the Birthday, Cathy x

  3. Both wonderful cards, Izzy. I love that big snowflake die and it looks so great surrounded by those small flakes. I love the graphic design of the second card. Great colors and wonderful contrast between the 2 parts of the sentiment.

  4. You captured the crisp frostiness of the snowflake beautifully with the shades of blue and all the delicious shimmer, Izzy … and how cool and graphic are those bright squares behind the bold word … fabulous! Grosses bises, Anita 🙂
