Less is More #415 – Colours

Bonjour !

Un bien joli défi commence aujourd’hui chez Less is More avec un thème sur les couleurs rouge, framboise et grise.

Hello !

A very beautiful challenge starts today at Less is More with a theme on colours Red, Raspberry & Grey.

Our sponsor for the month of March is CAS-ual Fridays.

Voici mes cartes / Here are my cards

1/ There is no limit to your awesomeness (using sponsor stamps)

To highlight this gorgeous background stamp from our sponsor, I decided to use Alcohol inks. But this time, instead of using the Alcohol ink lifting technique, I chose to  heat white emboss the whole panel.

I fussy cut the outlines of the flowers from the borders then I cut two strips. I glued a strip of grey card stock under each piece and I adhered these pieces on the card so that they frame the sentiment previously stamped in grey.

Stamp: CAS-ual Fridays “Full on floral” & “Mon ami” (sentiment) – Alcohol Inks: Tim Holtz “Raspberry, Red pepper”, Altenew “Silver Stone”.

For this second card, I stamped this adorable lemur that I’ve coloured in grey then with Zig pens I coloured the hat and the ballon respectively in raspberry and red. In order to pop it up, I made a background with red and raspberry Distress inks.

I stamped the sentiment on a strip of black card stock and I silver heat embossed it.

Stamp: Create a Smile “Little Lemur”, Altenew “Label love french” (sentiment) – Inks: Distress “Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries” – Brush pens: Zig Clean color brush “#020, 022, 025, 202” – Colour pencils: Faber-Castell Polychromos “#101, 132, 230.231, 232, 233”.

3/ Tous nos voeux

Update: Happy and honoured to be one of the Outstanding design over at CAS Christmas.

Happy and Honoured to be one of the Top 3 over at Christmas Sweet Stamping challenge.

For this last card, I get inspired by the CAS Christmas challenge that wants to see winter flowers on our cards. Then I used this pretty stamp from Uniko to make my two flowers of poinsettia : one in red and the other one in pink. Then I fussy cut them.

On a double white card, I stamped the foliage of this set in grey and in silver grey. Then I foam mounted the two flowers and I stamped the sentiment in silver grey.

Stamp: Uniko  “Season of Beauty”, Simply Graphic “Planche voeux assortis” (sentiment) – Inks: Distress “Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries”, Altenew “Silver stone”, Delicata “Silvery shimmer” – Embellishments: Micro silver beads.

  7. What a wonderful trio of cards, Izzy. I love the way you split and fussy cut that floral background. The inking looks amazing. I am wondering how you applies the inks? With a brush, or applicator? It looks amazing. I am in love with that lemur, and I love the challenge colors and the poinettias too. Beautiful art, as always.

  8. A triple treat today, Izzy! Wonderfully rich AI colour on the borders around the sentiment panel … the white embossing is lovely against it (and beautifully done … my yupo always melts!). That dancing lemur is cute and so much fun … and those outline poinsettia are elegant and dreamy! A fabulous showcase! Grosses bises, Anita 🙂
