Carte/Card

Mosaïque marocaine / Moroccan mosaic

Bonjour !

Hi !

Some time ago, while I was looking at the participants’ different cards of  one of the Simon Says Stamp challenges, I was lost in admiration for one card,  Anita’s card. As she always presents herself in the challenges as “Anita in France”, I wanted to know who was this compatriot and I had a visit to her blog…what a wonderful surprise ! I found gorgeous cards like I love them : CAS as they say in the jargon of scrap. I find them so chic and so class ! Go and have a glance, it really worths it !

If I tell you that, it’s because her last creation inspired me for the card I present today.

Here is the image of the Time Out challenge in which she enters her card as a member of the DT.

When I saw the challenge picture, I immediately thought of the windows of our beautiful cathedral.

Par contre en voyant la carte d’Anita, j’ai pensé à de la mosaïque  marocaine. moroccan-tiles-10x10-la016

On the other hand, when I saw Anita’s card, I thought of the moroccan mosaic.

Voilà comment j’ai créé ma carte !

Here’s how I set up my card !

I put an Artemio sheet of double-sided adhesive paper on a Clairefontaine white card stock (210g). Then I cut it with the Taylored Expressions Quatrefoil cutting plate. I collected all the small parts, then I colored them with Promarker markers (Pumpkin, Turquoise, Magenta et Sky Blue).

Thanks to the double-sided adhesive paper, I easily adhered the frame and the corresponding parts on a white double card. I added some glitter with the Clear Wink of Stella brush on each colored parts in order to illustrate the light passing through the stained glasses or reflected on mosaic tiles.

On a black piece of paper, I stamped the Penny Black (Wishes) Happy birthday sentiment with Versamark ink. Then I heat embossed the white powder.
