K-Kingdom – Papillons / Butterflies

Bonjour !

J’adore !

Hello !

I hope you’re going well ! A quick post before the challenge is over ! Looking at the current challenges, I fell in love with the colours combo of  Just Us Girls challenge #394 : Lime Green / Turquoise / Navy.  I Love it ! I combined it with two other challenges, Fusion for the sketch and The Paper Players for the butterflies theme !

Voici ma carte / Here is my card

Since a little while, I wanted to try the technique to make the marble effect with shaving cream. It is simple and the result is quite surprising. So I mixed the liquid inks with a little bit of shaving cream, I layed my paper on it and pressed a little, then I scraped the cream with a rigid card, kind of credit card. And here’s the result ! My background is done in no time !

I die cut the 2 butterflies and the flower. The butterflies die cuts also enable to emboss. So once embossed, I coloured with a marker the embossed parts in order to highlight them even better. On the flower, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and I embossed with turquoise powder.

I used a die cut to make the stitched line border on the marble paper then I adhered it to the double lime green card. And to finish, I mounted the flower and the 2 butterflies. And Voilà !

I enjoyed very much working with this combo of colours, I still have scraps of some tests and I surely will make very soon another card with them ! I hope you will be inspired as much as I was.
